The Nature Explore Classroom at

Horace Mann’s partnering school, the Leet Center for Children and Families, has been actively involved in Nature Explore Leadership institutes and accreditation for several years.

They have invited us to attend the Leadership Institutes and create an outdoor space as well. Through Nature Explore’s Leadership Institute, the director of Horace Mann and several teachers were influenced to create our own outdoor classroom.

The process was intriguing and the collaboration with Nature Explore’s Team was so helpful as we worked through the design, construction, and completion of the space. The team came and delivered an amazing concept drawing, we were awarded a MO State Conservation Grant and completed the project within the year. We are pleased with the space and enjoy seeing children involved with nature and exploring the outdoors with enthusiasm.
