Five Towns Early Learning Center

Our Nature Explore classroom is a hidden jewel. When families come for a tour that last thing that I do is open the backdoor to our Nature Explore classroom. No matter the time or the season, they are always surprised when they see our outdoor place. It is hard for them to believe that we have this “beautiful park” in our backyard.

We enjoy our beautiful park” every day. We have bikes and balls and a set of large wooden Blocks for outdoor play. Birthday parties are held outdoors as well as many picnic lunches on the gazebo. We
celebrate “mud day” each year and have sprinkler fun in the summer. This winter we were able to sled down our hill. That was so much fun for the children. This year we added a cascade play center to go with the mud kitchen.

We continue to have a partnership with the Garden Club of Lawrence. The “gardening ladies” come in the spring to plant with the children and in the fall to do a fall clean up.

Our Nature Explore classroom brings peace and sanity to our children and staff every day. As John Burrough wrote “I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order.”
