The Nature Explore Classroom at
ABC Great Beginnings-Murray
When we started this project our playground was missing nature altogether. We had a couple of trees but it was mainly cement and a climbing structure. As part of Nature Explore, we added messy materials including tree cookies, branches and logs.
We added a great garden area where we can plant vegetables every year. And we have several pots and planters that we can add colorful flowers.
It is very important for children to get interaction with nature on a daily basis. This helps them appreciate the world around them and leads to special learning experiences. Along with our Nature Explore environment, our staff tries to provide our students with many varied science/nature activities throughout the year.
