Our Nature Explore Classroom provides many exciting learning experiences for our students.
Our outdoor classroom provides large, open space for our students and staff to explore and enjoy.
The children are more aware of their surroundings and refer to the bugs they see in the yard. They are not just bugs, but they have names.
There are many discussions during our outdoor play. For example; students started to wonder why bees fly around the flowers in our yard and why there are worms under the ground when they dig? What happens if they forget to water the plants? Students started to show awareness that we share the yard with many insects that are harmless to us and that they should be respectful to the insects’ home.
We involved our parents for the beautification of our space and neighborhood stores for soils and plants. Natural materials are incorporated throughout our outdoor classroom.
