The Outdoor Learning Center at Chapel Hill Academy Charter School continues to provide delineated learning spaces within the beautiful borders of its Nature Explore Classroom.

To increase community awareness for the Outdoor Learning Center, volunteers assist in the maintenance of the site, keeping it looking great and functioning properly.

A variety of tools for different activities have been added to the classroom to use throughout the day. Binoculars and viewfinders were added to help examine bugs, plants, soil and animals. A variety of additional building blocks were added this year to allow children to experiment with different construction techniques.

The school web page is used to share information with families. When potential new families and donors come to the school, a tour of the Nature Explore Classroom is always included. Daily use and discovery results in students sharing their excitement with their families.
