The Nature Explore Classroom at

Holy Cross Preschool, Kindergarten and Child Care is a Christian based environment. We are a ministry of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

We encourage keeping Christ in everything we do and feel that nature play is the perfect example of celebrating what God has given to each of us. Nature is free to all of us and there is so much teaching and learning that is done outside. We educate and teach self-care to young children and the best way to keep a young person’s attention is to include play and the outdoors!

We have had overwhelming help from staff, families and community and want to thank all for supporting our outdoor classroom. Our future plans for the area include adding more plantings, we are so excited to try to add grapevines and an apple tree in the future. Our goal is to start harvesting enough cucumbers and carrots that we can start offering a few vegetables to some of the families in need at our school.

With the garden area and God’s help we will make a difference in our small community, in a big way.
