Honeypie Nature Playschool

Honeypie Nature Playschool became a part of the Nature Explore Community in May 2019 after working for nearly a year for Nature Explore Certification.

With the support of my family and the families of our program and through the generous donations from families to help enhance our backyard into a beautiful space for our program to expand the children’s exploring, learning, and nurturing; we created a beautiful space that the children and families enjoy day by day, week by week, and will continue to enjoy for years to come.

A few enhancements we made over the last several years include:

2019-more greenspace and patio space added as well as a bigger playhouse and mud kitchen for dramatic play

2020-Entire backyard re-graded and re-sod and landscaping redone.

2021-2 Little Libraries added through funding provided by Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation Grant for 2020 Teacher of the Year Award.

In 2022, we will be adding mulch to parts of the play yard and adding more birdhouses and windchimes around the yard and adding a climbing wall/permanent mini tent.
