Kool Kidz Adventure Academy
Kool Kidz Adventure Academy is excited to re-certify our Nature Explore Classroom for the 2nd year!
Our teachers have noticed that the Nature Explore program further inspires children’s creativity and boosts their interest in nature. The children love to dig in our ‘construction zone’ and play with the natural materials such as sand, twigs, wood scraps they use to build with and leaves they use in the art area.
They are also more aware of insects and animals that they see outside, such as worms in the dirt and birds in the sky. Studies show that being outdoors helps children self-regulate, problem solve, as well as benefit their overall mental well being. We want to continue to allow our children to have more time outdoors to help them grow and thrive.
We are excited for our future also. We have plans to add artwork from each child into the nature art area and gardening area. We will be adding a new wood platform in our music and movement area along with new musical instruments and more storage. We want to add books to our gathering area and additional materials to our loose parts area. We also have fun Spring activities that will include the children planting flowers and vegetables for our garden area.
All of this will be supported financially by fundraising in the community and asking for volunteers from within the community. This will allow us to educate the community about our unique Nature Explore Classroom.
Kool Kidz Adventure Academy also has plans to add more outdoor family engagement activities that will embrace the beauty of our surroundings in Utah. We love our state and want families to enjoy our unique community. We have beautiful mountains, lakes and parks nearby to enjoy. We know family time outside can build stronger families and communities and help each of us become more creative.
We look forward to sharing ideas with our families on how they can foster opportunities to incorporate time outside as a family. Nature helps us all be healthier and happier!
