Little Folks Farm & Childcare

In 2018 we added more space for playing games like ball. Also, in 2019 we finished our kitchen garden where the children visit to weed and water.

The children get to watch veggies grow and they get to harvest and eat them as well. It has been exciting to watch the children get excited about tasting some new vegetables they have not tried. In all, we try our best to be outdoors as much as possible and most of the year here in south Georgia, we can do that.

We find that the children are more willing to try new veggies if they help grow them. It is more than just going to the grocery store and putting items in the buggy. Pride in growing things is very much a topic of conversation at gathering times each week. From the colors of the different vegetables to the observation of bugs they see. Very engaging conversations happen when children are allowed to be in a natural environment. We all enjoy it, teachers and children!
