The Nature Explore Classroom at

One of the goals for my daycare is to create an outdoor classroom where children can have space and connect with nature, play with the dirt, plant and then enjoy our harvest.

We have space to dig in the dirt and the children use their imaginations to build with natural materials. We also have other areas which include items such as paint, books, music, and a sand and water table. The children can have fun at their specific age while supervised and safe.

For this project, the parents have enthusiastically participated by donating loose parts and lots of plants. Every day the children have new adventures and discover their abilities as we support the child in physical, emotional, social, and creative development.
