The Nature Explore Classroom at
Loving to Learn Family Child Care
Our program has been following the Reggio Approach for over 15 years, implementing natural materials, loose parts, outdoor classroom elements and a Studio space for creative expression and play.
Over time we have added a garden walk, a variety of ground elements (grass, sand, concrete and pea rock) and both deck and covered outdoor play areas for year-round outside learning. We harvest from the garden from May to October. Parents have participated in the process by contributing resources and time and the children have directed the evolution of this outdoor space based on their interests, abilities, and discoveries outside.
Every day is a new adventure as the children are making this space their own!
