Montessori Beginnings School

The 2015/2016 year showcased our beautiful space during our fall and spring open house events. We had many new families tour our school and outdoor space and marvel at its beauty and uniqueness. Feedback received from our new families lets us know our outdoor space was a primary reason they chose to send their child to Montessori Beginnings.

This year we were gifted with a ten foot drain pipe that has become a wonderful climbing apparatus; both on top of and through. The children stack tree cookies in order to climb onto the top and walk or scoot across.

We continue to use our space extensively throughout the year; from our World Peace Day celebration in September, to our Ice Cream Social in June and as a focal point during our summer program. The children enjoy the space almost everyday-rain, snow or shine. As a Montessori school, using the outdoor space is an integral part of the curriculum.

Over the year we educate families to the benefits and beauty of our space through our annual Back to School Night, Open House events, Face Book posts, a section in our monthly newsletter and open invitation throughout the year to be part of the space. Families are invited to our annual Volunteer Day in April. This event replenishes and readies the space for another year of enthusiastic use!
