Vision: Nature Explore
Education and nature are two of the main pillars of children’s development. Interaction with nature in free space with natural objects such as: wood, rocks, sand, water, etc. allows young children to explore freely, discover and learn in a practical and experiential way, which stimulates curiosity and creativity, thus favoring deeper learning, promoting well-being at a physical, mental and emotional level.
In addition, these type of outdoor spaces provide a greater sense of relaxation in the student, helping to reduce stress and anxiety, essential factors to ensure a more balanced development in early childhood. When the child is able to interact with the natural environment, we are laying the foundations for children to become aware and respectful adults with the environment.
Panda Childcare #2 is committed to high-quality education, which is why we plan to continue with Nature Explore in 2026. We know the journey isn’t easy. It requires dedicating hours to studying and learning the new methodology. However, we also know that we will enjoy the achievements, which are already evident in the satisfaction and enjoyment of our children as they explore the spaces designed for free play and experiential learning.
Interaction with nature has a very positive impact on academic performance. Studies have shown that children who spend more time outdoors tend to have better problem-solving skills and a longer attention span. Furthermore, nature also reduces anxiety and stress, creating an environment conducive to more enriching learning and stimulating creativity and imagination.
We are pleased to have enriched our outdoor areas with spaces designed with natural materials that foster children’s connection with the natural environment, promoting respect for and responsibility towards the environment. We thank all our staff, teachers, and families who make up Panda Childcare #2.
Challenges in our project:
We as teachers, perhaps have been trained in an old education, so it becomes a little more complex to understand the new pedagogical currents. Being part of Nature Explore is to be part of educational change with innovative proposals, enjoy the environment and to give free rein to the creativity and imagination of children.
Design customization:
The design has been made after in-depth observation of the tastes and preferences of the children, adapting and placing material to their liking. It is because of our children that we implemented the dramatization area, since they enjoy cooking clay pancakes, or preparing pizzas and decorating them with twigs.
Future plans:
Our goal for this year, 2026, is to focus on children’s gardening, planting and harvesting fruits and vegetables, and enjoying this process together with our children.
