In our third year our big project was our wilderness walk, and wow did it pay off! Volunteers designed a path through our planters and we planted sunflowers. We let them grow wild, towering above our heads, bending with the wind, forming a maze with tunnels and tight turns. Even our littlest learners were able to navigate the path. We still venture into the National Park daily, but we loved bringing a bit of the wild inside our fences.
