The Nature Explore Classroom at

Two years ago I didn’t know anything about Nature Explore. After completing the training offered at the Wisconsin Family Child Care Conference in May of 2019, I jumped right in on creating my unique outdoor classroom.

We added each area needed and learned what we can do there. We spend hours outside in the summer, and sometimes are limited with outdoor play come the winter months in Central Wisconsin, but we try and get out daily even if it is for a few minutes. My children in care are encouraged to use their imagination while outside playing, creating, and learning. Each year we focus on planting the garden, watering it and harvesting the fruits and vegetables we grow. Children are more interested in trying new things since they helped grow them. I am so happy with the updates and look forward to adding more things in the future.
