St. Martin’s Episcopal School

The NE classroom at SMES is well loved by all students. This year our students have started building “Fairy Houses” out of only materials found in the NE classroom. Each 1st grade class has worked all year on their houses and come back each week excited to make additions or
reconstruct specific areas.

What makes our Nature Explore Classroom so unique is that it is a piece of nature in an urban setting. It is a place for students to come and explore the natural world organically and on their own, amidst the hustle and bustle that surrounds our school. It is truly a favorite place for our
students to go and they always are asking to go outside!
