The LANE-Little Arrowhead Nature Explore

Over the past year, the L.A.N.E. has continued to grow as a vibrant, nature based learning space that welcomes children, families, and community groups into hands on exploration. We’ve focused on sustaining the heart of the Nature Explore Classroom by keeping the environment well maintained, adding new natural materials, and expanding opportunities for open ended play.

In the past year, we also invested in an eco-friendly lawn mower to keep the grass consistently short. This has lowered emissions, reduced noise, and allowed us to maintain a soft, accessible play surface without disrupting programming or wildlife.

We’ve also strengthened the L.A.N.E. through meaningful collaboration with local partners, including nearby schools, parent’s groups, and the YMCA. These partnerships have brought new energy and diverse programming into the space, from guided walks and early learning play sessions to family meet ups and outdoor enrichment activities. By inviting community groups to use the L.A.N.E. as a shared resource, we’ve broadened its impact and created a welcoming hub where children can explore, caregivers can connect, and nature remains at the center of every experience.
