The Learning Center at Warren Village

Warren Village Learning Center has actively been working on maintaining their outdoor classrooms.

We have had several professional development trainings for teachers over the course of the past several months. We have been focusing on getting teachers more comfortable with the outdoors and recognizing the intention behind this nature centered outdoor space. We have also been actively working on creating resources guides that will help to give teacher’s ideas on activities as well as having our nature explore liaison mentoring and coaching staff.

We have enhanced the infant/toddler space by adding a bamboo mat for the little ones as well as looking into getting a patch of sod/ artificial grass to add more soft green space to the area. We are also creating a parent committee that will be helping with planting in our planter boxes as well as helping with overall cleanup of the outdoor space.
