The Nature Explore Classroom at

From as far back as I can remember my most memorable times in life were spent outdoors, roaming the woods, skipping rocks, climbing trees and making fairy houses. When I opened my Preschool, I knew I wanted nothing more than to recreate that experience for our community and my own children. I knew from experience that children learn best when they are running, playing and exploring the world around them.

In 2018 my adventure of opening up a nature/farm-based school started and the idea of becoming a Nature Explore Certified Classroom blossomed from there. We are a very unique program for this area and families seemed intrigued right away and wanted to know more. What started as a simple transformation of our 2 acres in Scarborough, Maine turned into more than I could have ever imagined. We are proud to say we are a zero screen time program. We grow and havest our own fruits and vegetable and raise chickens, ducks and goats for eggs and milk. I know our story doesn’t end here and Three LIttle Birds Preschool will always be doing everything we can to help the children in our care thrive.

To my incredible children: Ava, Maezy, Penelope, Abram and Hazel for sharing your space and loving these bonus babies like siblings and supporting me through some of the hardest times as an early educator.
