TLC Early Learning
TLC students and families continue to use our outdoor classroom. Students enjoy observing all the wildlife that visits our space. We added benches to our log lounge, freshened spaces with new mulch, and refreshed our signage. We appreciate the help from a team from Parkview Dekalb Hospital who helped spread over 20 yards of mulch and helped with our summer refresh. We added a rain barrel our students painted with the monarch butterfly life cycle. Our students love spending time in our classroom creating, exploring, building, and enjoying the space.
We plan to add a mural this spring with the help of our families.
Our staff participated in the Growing Up Wild Curriculum training this fall and are implementing lessons to enhance student engagement.
