Tony Reyes
Bilingual Child Development Center
Western Avenue

The Tony Reyes Bilingual Child Development (TRBCDC) is a 3 STAR, NAEYC accredited program of the Latino Community Development Agency (LCDA). It was established in June 30, 1997 in honor of Antonion “Tony” Reyes who was a dedicated child advocate for many years. He was a community advocate who donated his time to mentoring children at LCDA. Tony Reyes wanted every child to have the same opportunity affluent children had, but in a bilingual setting. The experience would be culturally and linguistaically age-appropriate for the children attending.

In 1995 Mr. Tony Reyes lost his life in the tragedy of the Murrah Federal building Oklahoma bombing. The vision of a bilingual center was created by LCDA, the community and his niece, Nina Gonzales the founding director of TRBCDC. Currently Tony Reyes Bilingual Child Development Center has two locations an early head start program and a preschool program.
