Wellborn Elementary

Our students and community take ownership of our outdoor classroom.

It has been used for experiments, ceremonies, planting, etc.  One example is rain collection.  With all the recent rain in our area, students have been measuring rain totals for the month of December and comparing that to the rain totals they gathered last December.

Our high school band gave mini lessons on the xylophones.  They also used those to perform at our Title 1 Tailgate that was held in our outdoor classroom.  Our county exchange works with our third grade students to learn about having a healthy lifestyle. This includes growing crops in our classroom and on school grounds.
