Apple Creek Preschool
We have loved having our Outdoor Nature Classroom this past year. What a difference it has made! The children look forward to spending time in all of the unique spaces, however their favorite activities have been planting and caring for the gardens and playing in the Digging Area. This year we added a pergola, stage, and sound board in our Music & Movement area. We also added our first bricks to our Apple Creek Brick Sponsors Garden. We have learned a lot about plants and the hot Texas sun as well as what materials hold up in the heat. Our entire staff has increased their knowledge about nature and enjoyed learning along with the children. We have included the Outdoor Nature Classroom as part of our fundraising efforts so we can continue to add new things each year. This next year we hope to add more plants and walkways. As we celebrate Apple Creek Preschool’s 20th year of business this fall, we are going to host a nature walk to celebrate quality early childhood education and the importance of connecting with nature.
